The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA’s) are reading, writing, and mathematics tests that help schools and districts measure student progress toward the state’s academic standards.
The GRAD test are reading, mathematics, and writing tests that students must pass to receive a diploma from a public high school. The reading and mathematics tests are embedded in the 10th and 11th grade MCA-II assessments. The writing test is first administered to students in the spring of their freshman year. Students who need to re-take the reading and math tests can do so three times each year.
